STARKVILLE, Miss. – April 22, 2026Camgian, a leader in advanced artificial intelligence and machine learning solutions for national defense, today announced that its Founder, Chairman, and CEO, Dr. Gary Butler, has been inducted into the Vanderbilt School of Engineering’s Academy of Distinguished Alumni, one of the university’s highest and most selective alumni honors. 

The Academy of Distinguished Alumni recognizes graduates who have demonstrated exceptional professional achievement, meaningful service to society, and the highest standards of character. Dr. Butler’s induction reflects his enduring contributions to the engineering profession and his leadership in advancing the field of artificial intelligence in support of U.S. national security.

Dr. Butler has also been recognized for his technical expertise and strategic insights through his recent appointment to the Department of War’s Science, Technology, and Innovation Board, which advises senior leaders on emerging technologies and complex national security challenges.
