Meet the Team

Dr. Gary Butler
Founder & CEODr. Gary D. Butler is the founder, chairman, and CEO of Camgian Corporation and a member of the Department of War’s Science, Technology, and Innovation Board (STIB). Under his leadership, he has built Camgian into an award-winning defense technology company delivering AI-enabled software that helps military operators reduce cognitive overload and enhance decision-making in dynamic, contested environments. He has guided the development of Camgian’s flagship product, Reactor®, which provides cognitive decision aids for counter-drone, air and missile defense, and space systems, enabling accelerated kill chain execution with increased precision and lethality.
Previously, Dr. Butler was a division engineer at BBN Technologies, where he led advanced research in the application of artificial intelligence to complex signal processing challenges, with a particular focus on self-evolving machine learning systems. He also led multiple DARPA-funded initiatives aimed at developing next-generation multistatic radar signal processing technologies. In recognition of his technical leadership, he was selected for BBN’s prestigious Science Development Program, a technical rank reserved for the company’s most exceptional scientists and engineers.
He holds a Ph.D. from the University of Cambridge and degrees from Tulane University and Vanderbilt University. He is a member of Vanderbilt University’s School of Engineering Academy of Distinguished Alumni. In 2026, he was appointed by the Secretary of War to the Pentagon’s STIB, where he serves on the Department’s primary advisory body on science and technology for national security. He has also served as a speaker and panelist at numerous national and international conferences and has provided expert testimony before committees of both the U.S. Senate and the U.S. House of Representatives.

Dr. Jeff Aristoff
Chief Innovation OfficerDr. Aristoff is Camgian’s Chief Innovation Officer. He leads Camgian Labs, the company’s applied R&D cell focused on high-risk, high-reward initiatives, through which he harnesses advanced AI to address critical national security challenges across air, space, and missile defense. Prior to joining Camgian, he served as Senior VP of Technology at Slingshot Aerospace, where he led the development and deployment of novel space domain awareness capabilities. He also co-founded and built the Space Division at Numerica Corporation, which was acquired by Slingshot and successfully integrated and expanded under his leadership. Dr. Aristoff earned a Ph.D. in Applied Mathematics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), where he also received a BS in Mathematics with Computer Science.

Dr. Clay Stanek
Chief Technology OfficerDr. Clay Stanek is the Chief Technology Officer at Camgian with 33 years of experience in target tracking, machine learning, and data analytics. A specialist in mathematical modeling and Bayesian statistics, he holds seven patents in Data Fusion and Bayesian learning. His contributions to defense ML include a risk detection prototype for the Defense Counterintelligence Security Agency. Before Camgian, he was Chief Technologist for the Army Analytics Group at Peraton and Chief Mathematician at Northrop Grumman. Dr. Stanek earned a Ph.D. and MS in Applied Mathematics and Theoretical Physics from the University of Cambridge and holds dual BS degrees in Aeronautical Engineering and Mathematics from MIT.

Mark Bennett
Chief Growth OfficerMark Bennett is the Chief Growth Officer at Camgian, leading strategic expansion and partnerships through 25+ years of experience in digital integration, analytics, and defense logistics. He previously led Palantir’s Supply Chain Resilience Practice and was top U.S. Government sales performer in 2024, achieving 175% of quota while securing multimillion-dollar Maven Smart System wins aligned with CJADC2 Use Cases. As a Principal with Booz Allen, he oversaw mission-critical contracts and managing 300+ personnel globally. A former Royal Air Force Officer, Mark’s career included serving as Logistics Officer for No 16 Squadron (SHORAD) and assigned to US DoD as the UK Foreign Military Sales Liaison Officer. Mark holds an MSc in Logistics Management, an MBA from Johns Hopkins, Harvard, and Wharton executive education, and a PMP certification.

Will Johnson
Chief Operating OfficerColonel (Ret.) Will Johnson is the Chief Operating Officer at Camgian, where he leads operations, program delivery, and strategic growth initiatives to expand Camgian’s footprint across the Department of War, deepen partnerships with existing customers, and accelerate adoption of new technologies. A seasoned veteran, Will led Soldiers in numerous units over a 30-year Army career, including commands in combat in Iraq and Afghanistan and strategic assignments at multiple Combatant Commands and the Pentagon. He concluded his military service as Chief of Operations for U.S. Army Materiel Command, overseeing global logistics and sustainment operations. Prior to joining Camgian, he served as a Business Development Executive at Palantir, partnering with Army and Department of War organizations to deliver advanced software capabilities that support mission success. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Engineering Management from the United States Military Academy, a Master of Military Arts and Sciences, and completed a post-graduate fellowship at Georgetown University.

Michelle Parisi
Chief Financial OfficerMichelle Parisi joined Camgian in 2013 and has served as CFO since 2020. She oversees the company’s financial strategy and operations, guiding all aspects of finance, accounting, and human resources. She works closely with the CEO, board of directors, and shareholders to shape Camgian’s financial direction and growth objectives. Michelle has more than 30 years of experience and a well-rounded operational background shaped by roles in high-tech manufacturing and telecommunications. Advancing from Staff Accountant to Accounting Manager to Controller roles, she developed a comprehensive command of financial reporting, forecasting, and cash flow management, always guided by integrity and a strong awareness of risk. Michelle is a CPA with a BBA in Economics from Mississippi State University and an MBA from Mississippi College.

Derrick Savage
Chief Information OfficerDerrick Savage serves as Chief Information Officer, responsible for the company’s enterprise infrastructure—including IT systems and computing environments—along with cybersecurity, facilities, and secure operating environments. He ensures the company’s digital and operational foundation scales efficiently, securely, and in an audit-defensible manner to support mission execution and growth. He leads the development and standardization of processes, tools, and governance practices that enable consistent, scalable operations across the enterprise, including the integration of digital, physical, and personnel security to support regulated and mission-critical activities. Derrick brings over 32 years of experience in semiconductor IC design, systems engineering, and executive leadership, including senior roles at Cypress Semiconductor and Camgian Corporation. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Mississippi State University, graduating summa cum laude, and is a named co-inventor on six U.S. patents.

Muthukumar Nagarajan
Executive Vice President of Product DevelopmentMuthu Nagarajan serves as the Executive Vice President of Product Development, managing a talented team of AI, Software, and Systems engineers developing innovative products and solutions for DoD and commercial organizations. He has over 25 years of product development experience in the semiconductor industry and the DOD space, where he contributed to the successful development of several commercial and military products. In his early years at Camgian, he worked on several sensor-related projects, architecting and designing low-power sensors and hardware solutions to address the needs of the defense industry and the Internet-of-Things market. Muthu holds 7 patents in the areas of semiconductor IC design and IoT sensor networks. He earned his Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Mississippi State University.

Kevin Tingley
Executive Vice President Growth & Product Marketing StrategyKevin Tingley serves as Vice President of Products & Services at Camgian, overseeing product management, marketing, and commercial business development. He drives strategic alignment between market demands, product vision, and organizational growth, delivering advanced cognitive decision aids and machine learning solutions that optimize operational efficiency and mission success in government and commercial organizations. With over 30 years of experience in finance, sales, and business development, Kevin has held senior roles at Goldman Sachs and was a Partner at Saratoga Capital. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Management from Tulane University’s Freeman School of Business, graduating magna cum laude.

Jeff Freeman
Vice President of Government Business DevelopmentJeff Freeman serves as Vice President of Government Business Development, overseeing new business captures, customer relationship development, proposal management, and budget backlog achievement. He directs a team of business development and gov’t relations professionals growing business opportunities in established and new markets with the Army, other DoD services, Gov’t agencies, and International Foreign Military Sales. Jeff has 23 years of experience in corporate BD and Gov’t relations with Camgian, DRS, and Fincantieri, along with 20 years as a Naval Aviator, flying over 3500 hours in four squadrons while serving in executive management positions. He earned a BS in Mathematics from the U.S. Naval Academy, as well as an MBA from Marymount University and an MS in National Security Studies from the U.S. Naval War College.

Bobby Rappai
Vice President of EngineeringBobby Rappai is Vice President of Engineering at Camgian, leading Artificial Intelligence, Software, and Data Science initiatives that drive advancements in defense and commercial technologies. With over 30 years of experience in telecom, big data, and enterprise systems, he directs the implementation of innovative solutions and decision aids for kill chain automation and defense readiness. Previously, he held senior roles at Verizon, managing projects in real-time call processing, revenue assurance, media delivery, and network analytics. Bobby holds Master degrees in Business Administration and Computer Science from Mississippi College and a Bachelor of Science degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering from Birla Institute of Technology. He was named a 2021 “Top in Tech” by the Mississippi Business Journal.

Michael Everett
Vice President of Product Delivery and SupportMichael Everett serves as the Vice President of Product Delivery and Support at Camgian, leading the automation of the model lifecycle within the company’s software factory. He drives improvements in software development processes, delivery, and support to enhance scalability and efficiency. Michael has held senior roles at IBM and realtor.com. At IBM, he helped guide the growth of a product from concept to $1B in annual revenue and supported mission-critical operations worldwide. At realtor.com, he directed the retrieval and normalization of massive-scale property data critical to the business. Michael earned a Master of Science degree in Computer Science from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and teaches computer science at Indiana University of Pennsylvania.
