Camgian CEO named chair of Vanderbilt engineering school’s Board of Visitors


STARKVILLE, MS – 20 April 2016 – Camgian founder, chairman and CEO Gary Butler has been named chair of Vanderbilt University School of Engineering’s Board of Visitors (BoV). The appointment was announced at the April 15th BoV meeting. The BoV was established in March 2013 and its board members serve as advisers to the dean and senior staff. Their role is to provide advice, foster the achievement of excellence in all aspects of the school, review and support strategic plans, and assist in developing beneficial relationships with industry, government, and other academic institutions.

Butler is a 1994 graduate of Vanderbilt University with a master’s degree in mechanical engineering. After graduating from Vanderbilt, Butler went on to receive his doctoral degree from the University of Cambridge.
