STARKVILLE, MS – 14 May 2018 – Camgian Microsystems Corp unveiled today a new release of their award-winning EgburtTM industrial Internet of Things (IoT) platform built with new artificial intelligence (AI) and big data analytics technologies. The new upgrade leverages Egburt’s patented edge computing architecture with advanced computer vision (CV) technologies to enable real-time object and pattern recognition at scale. Specifically, this includes the implementation of a new CV system within Egburt’s edge server software that supports real-time video and image processing at the point of data collection. This feature of the new release provides a highly scalable approach to video analytics deployment and its efficient operations on Egburt’s cellular messaging architecture.
“The inclusion of edge-based CV technologies provides tremendous flexibility for placement and communications options for our edge IQ ServerTM technology when gathering video originated data. Rather than transferring and storing video data, we are only sending actionable information that customers need” said Muthukumar Nagarajan, Egburt Lead Systems Engineer.
Additionally, upgrades to Egburt’s cloud-hosted software InsightTM include the implementation of a new large-scale data collection and analytics engine. The newest release of Egburt includes separation of functions between the Insight Collection Engine (ICE) and the Insight Analytics Engine (IAE) enabling dramatic increases in throughput and scalability.
“With the new segmented design of the system, we can instantiate new components as necessary to eliminate bottlenecks. We’ve benchmarked ICE effectively on a single instance for processing more than 100 million records per hour. Additional scaling can be accomplished by adding other instances as needed” said Bobby Rappai, Director of Egburt Software Development.
