STARKVILLE, MS – 13 February 2017 – Camgian announced today that it added 10 new engineers to its team in 2016 to support its growing product development and project efforts. The new full time members of Camgian’s technical staff represent a mix of experienced and new college graduates with backgrounds in software development, signal processing, analytics and hardware design. This includes the addition of Bobby Rappai as director of software engineering for Camgian’s Internet of Things (IoT) business. Bobby comes to Camgian from Verizon where he spent 20 years in enterprise software engineering and led the development of cloud hosted big data analytics applications for real-time monitoring of large scale network operations.
Similarly, Allen Joiner assumed the role of lead program manager for Camgian’s IoT business unit. Allen joins Camgian from Itron where he led multiple domestic and international projects pertaining to the development and deployment of cellular and RF network enabled automated metering systems. Finally, Camgian added top engineering graduates from Vanderbilt University’s School of Engineering and Mississippi State’s Bagley College of Engineering. These included bachelor and PhD level graduates in computer science, electrical and computer engineering.
All new engineering team members reside in Camgian’s Mississippi operations.
