Camgian Continues Growth with New Facility in Lawton-Fort Sill, OK

LAWTON, OK, – 9 November 2021 – Camgian is excited to announce that it will be expanding its efforts in creating the future of defense tech with its new location at the Fires Innovation Science and Technology Accelerator in Lawton-Fort Sill, OK.


Clarence Fortney, the Chairman of the FISTA Development Trust Authority says, “we are very encouraged to announce the signing of the first FISTA contract with Camgian Microsystems Corporation headquartered in Starkville, Mississippi.”


Camgian will directly support technology development for the Cross-Functional Teams of Long-Range Precision Fires (LRPF), Air & Missile Defense (AMD), and Fort Sill's FIRES Center of Excellence (FCoE).


“Camgian is excited to join the FISTA team helping the Army develop new AI and machine learning technologies to maintain an asymmetric advantage in future warfare,” says Gary Butler, Camgian Chairman and CEO.


The Starkville-based company was the first contract signed at the soon-to-be-opened facility located near Fort Sill and its impact is already being heralded by the FISTA team.


“Camgian is not only our first contract but a very significant contributor and collaborator in the success of our mission in the FISTA to accelerate opportunities from organizations like Camgian to provide direct support in meeting requirements, shortfalls, and filling gaps identified by the CFT’s and FCoE,” says James Taylor, FISTA Director.
