Camgian CEO to Speak at the 5th Annual Internet of Things European Union Summit


Camgian Microsystems announced today that founder, chairman and CEO, Gary Butler, will speak at the 5th Annual Internet of Things EU Summit scheduled for March 3-4, 2014 at the Management Centre Europe in Brussels. Butler will serve as a presenter on a panel entitled “Cloud Computing, Big Data and The Internet of Things”. The session will take place on March 4 at 9:15 AM. The Summit provides a high-level meeting point for all representatives from the global M2M and Internet of Things (IoT) communities.

In this session, Butler will discuss how Camgian’s award winning Quantus Sensor Fusion Engine is leveraging cloud computing to enable organizations to more effectively process large scale sensor data, manage remote industrial assets and improve operational efficiency. Also, participating in this panel are representatives from ThingWorx, Amazon Web Services, London Futurists, the Center for Policy on Emerging Technologies and the European Commission. During this session, presenters will address the following topics: how the cloud and big data generate revenue streams and enable innovation and what the future holds for cloud computing and the IoT market.

The Summit will take a comprehensive look at the latest technologies and innovations in the field of IoT with contributions from main stakeholders at both an industry and policy level in Europe and around the globe.
