DIRECTOR OF PRDUCT DEVELOPMENT

Camgian is looking for an experienced, mission-driven product leader, who is passionate about creating and delivering new and innovative technology products. As Director of Product Development, you will work with a cross-functional team including Camgian's Product Managers, System Architects, Engineering, and the VP of Corporate Strategy & Government Programs to develop, execute and deliver products that fulfill Camgian's product strategy. You will assist with the development of a corporate product strategy, own and execute the product roadmap including feature definition, product architecture, acceptance criteria definition, and delivery of high-value products that impact Camgian's clients and business. You will guide a team of Product Managers and System Architects on when and how to leverage tools and data, UX research, and market or competitive analysis to make strategic and prioritization decisions. You will use your strong product background, and well-rounded understanding of current needs in the critical technologies that support the DoD and commercial markets. As a Director, you will coach and manage your teams effectively to deliver products of high value and impact to Camgian's client base. You are business-minded and data-driven and know how to deliver results. This role will report to the VP of Product Development.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  1. United States Citizenship

  2. Bachelor’s Degree (Computer Science, Engineering, or relevant technical degree)

  3. 10+ years professional experience
     

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 
Set your team’s goals, success metrics, and roadmap to align with Camgian's mission and our overall product strategy

  1. Utilize data, market research, competitor analysis, and other mechanisms to guide the team on product definition

  2. Collaborate with and influence a cross-functional team to develop the best products

  3. Clearly communicate roadmaps, priorities, and decisions across a wide spectrum of audiences

  4. Lead team of Product Managers & System Architects to define & develop product feature sets and acceptance criteria to fulfill customer & market needs

  5. Ensure that defined product features are developed, tested, and qualified to meet product acceptance criteria

  6. Set effective goals, product specifications, schedules, and budgets for product execution and delivery, coordinating with the VP of Engineering

  7. Establish processes to improve the productivity of the Product Development team

  8. Hire, coach, and lead a team of high performing Product Managers & System Architects

  6. Multiple years of experience in hiring, coaching, and leading a team of Product Managers / System Architects

  7. Ability to influence leaders across the company

  8. Experience driving complex projects in a fast-paced environment

  9. Great communication and presentation skills

  10. Experience working with Department of Defense R&D programs and in the delivery of products

  11. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

  12. Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines

  13. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
