Camgian Microsystems Signs CRADA with the
US Department of Homeland Security

STARKVILLE, M.S. – November 18th, 2008 – Camgian Microsystems Corporation today announced that it has entered into a joint research and development program with the US Department of Homeland Security (DHS).

The effort is part of a Cooperative Research and Development Agreement (CRADA) signed between Camgian and DHS's Science and Technology Directorate. This R&D program will aim to develop a next generation imaging technology for supporting surveillance and monitoring of critical infrastructure. The CRADA is the second such agreement between DHS and Camgian, who was designated as an official DHS mentor-protégé company earlier this year.

"This agreement provides us the opportunity to work closely with research personnel within DHS to address a critical technology gap," said Dr. Gary Butler, President and CEO of Camgian. "We will leverage our core capabilities in microelectronics and advanced sensor development to provide an imaging solution that meets demanding cost and performance requirements."
